What the source supports

That James Barber, a farm hand living in Clarke County, Virginia, married Barbara A. Edmonds in 1877.

Uncertainty

Read from this project's OCR of a scan of Duncan's printed abstract, not from the page image or from the register kept by the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Clarke County. Duncan's abbreviations are expanded using her key. Nothing about James Barber beyond this entry is recorded here, and his parents and his wife get no records.
